Here Come the Mummies

There’s never been a better reason for mummies to wander the earth!  I’m talkin’ bout funk!  Twelve mummies discovered south of Tunis by Professor Nigel Quentin Fontenelle Dumblucke IV in 1922, now travel the states performing their “Terrifying funk from beyond the grave”.  Here Come the Mummies! Leave the sarcophagus at home!

Here Come the Mummies

Nine of these sharply dressed undead made the voyage to the 2011 Iowa State Fair,  August 21. Cass, Oozie, Java, Teste Verde, Eddie, Spaz, The Flu, Rah and Ramses.

Their facial expressions are half the fun!

These mummies bring it, and they bring it hard. You will not find a tighter sound, dead or alive. And these dudes have such an amazing stage presence, your eyes are feasting on par with your ears!

Cass(anova). Amazing pipes & sweet strings

Believe me.  See these guys just once, and you’ll be coming in your pants the next time they’re within a 500 mile radius.

Enjoy the handful of images below.  But, be sure to also check out the Full Here Come the Mummies Gallery!  There’s like 335 of em to enjoy.

Just can't resist touchin' those mummies

See, gotta touch some more!

They'll get you into the VIP

Teste Verde sure can blow

Mummies can marry... right?

Rah sax in your face

Don't be afraid to let your Freak Flag Fly!

Totally need that hat!

Libido Kenevil in the house

The Cowbelt is epic. Yes, Cow BELT

Spaz on the keys

You could learn a few tricks with the ladies from these guys

Sincerely hope these mummies find there way back to Central Iowa again real soon!
